Avenor Tutudoza 2025 Health Walk records massive turnout

Thousands of residents within the Avenor Traditional Area have participated in this year’s Avenor Tutudoza Health Walk, which sought to promote unity, good health, and the need to join hands for successful celebrations.  

The walk, held on Sunday, November 23, through the principal streets of Akatsi and ending at the Akatsi RC Park, was centred on the need to come together as one people to develop Avenor.  

Torgbui Tali Gafatsi III, the Planning Committee Chairman for the festival in an engagement with the Ghana News Agency after the event, expressed optimism about the success of this year’s activities.

He indicated that the large crowd experienced during the walk was a testament that the future of Avenor belonged to the youth, adding “We must all come together to help the youth from our dear Avenor Land to see progress.”

Torgbui Tali further explained that the festival was not solely for the indigenes from Avenor but for the entire people living within the Traditional Area and beyond.  

He therefore, appealed to all people to come together to support the festival in order to project the area to the global community for the needed development it required.  

The theme for this year’s festival is, “Securing the Future of Avenor through Skills Acquisition, Employment and Economic Growth.”

Avenor Tutudoza is celebrated by the Chiefs and people of Avenor, serving as an invitation to all sons and daughters of the area, as well as non-indigenes, to visit and witness the community’s vibrancy, and support all efforts in building a better Traditional Area.  

It would be climaxed by a grand durbar on Saturday, November 29 at the Akatsi Central Market lorry station.
