
Accra Hearts of Oak has won Matchday 18 fixture against Hohoe United Football Club in a stoppage time, pushing the Club to an enviable third spot on the table of the Ghana Premiere League (GPL).
Heart of Oak’s number seven shirted Mawuli Wayo netted the winning during the 91st minute of the keenly played away match for Hearts of Oak.
Wayo was substituted in the 46th minute replacing Enoch Asubonteng.
Mr Mas-ud Didi Dramani, the Coach for the Hearts of Oak, in a post-match remarks, said his side controlled the entire first half of the game, had good run and easy passes yet could not create chances for scoring goals.
He said the team expanded and stepped into the second half more widely giving them more chances to go behind their opponents.
Mr Dramani said he was however disappointed in the wastefulness, which would have given the team about four to five goals.
He commended the team for putting up a spectacular performance in securing all three points.
Mr Kasim Godhildiz, the Headcoach of Hohoe United Football Club, who was unveiled before the match, assured supporters of the team’s performance, to remain in the league.
Prince Amevor of the Hohoe United Football Club won the man of the match prize.
However, some fans of the home team, Hohoe United Football Club, expressed dissatisfaction at the team’s performance, fearing for their possible relegation.
