Keta Assembly begins major pothole patching works

The Keta Municipal Assembly has begun a major pothole patching exercise on key roads to improve safety and ease transportation within the municipality.

The exercise seeks to address the deteriorated condition of several roads that have posed risks to motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Mr Wisdom Seade, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), said many roads had remained in poor condition for years, leading to frequent accidents, vehicle damage, and loss of lives.

He said the ongoing works, which commenced on the Keta–Vodza–Kedzi–Havedzi roads, would be extended to other affected roads across the municipality.

Mr Seade noted that the initiative formed part of a broader infrastructure development plan aimed at boosting economic growth and improving the quality of life of residents.

He appealed to residents to cooperate with contractors to ensure smooth execution of the project, adding that the exercise would create job opportunities for the youth.
