Peki Dzogbati Assemblyman supports brilliant pupils

The Assemblyman for Peki Dzogbati Electoral Area, Churchill Oforikumah has shown his unflinching generosity to some pupils of Gbi Kledzo E.P Basic School.

With the support of few benevolent individuals, a number of educational materials have been presented to deserving pupils of Gbi Kledzo E.P Basic School to enhance teaching and learning.

Items donated include School bags, note books, rules, pens, mathematical sets and other stationaries.

According to the assembly member, “students always lament on poor teaching and learning due to the unavailability of the materials to enhance effective teaching and learning hence his kind gesture.”

He narrated that, about nine years ago, he was posted to the area as a professional teacher and realising the challenges some of the brilliant but needy pupils, he took it upon himself to provide assistance.

He said, benevolent individuals including Mr. Humza Hussain, Madam Cecilia Morny, Hon. Noble Awumay, Hohoe MCE and Rev. Nelson Kofi Akatse supported the worthy cause.

He further expressed gratitude to all benevolent individuals who ensured that this worthy cause came into fruition.

Hon. Churchill challenged other individuals who are in the position to help some of these brilliant but needy students in their various communities not to relent on doing such.

“I want to appeal to all parents and teachers to take good care of our children. There must be a good care and attention given to the female students.”

He charged pupils who could not benefit to learn hard to be beneficiaries of the subsequent ones

He however pledged to continue the kind gesture as he called for others’ support.
