Following the release of a video showing a police officer pulling a man to the ground during an arrest, the Ghana Police Service has suspended the officer in question.
The Police can be seen pulling the suspect by the neck as the guy is lying on the ground in the footage, which was recorded at Dadease, close to Kumawu in the Ashanti Region. The suspect is being pulled for a number of meters and seems to be having trouble breathing.

The officer will be subjected to the proper legal procedures, according to the police, who have announced they are conducting an inquiry into the event.
A full inquiry would be conducted, according to Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector-General of Police, who also talked with the victim’s mother.
The incident has sparked outrage in Ghana, with many people calling for the officer to be held accountable for his actions. Some people have also questioned the use of excessive force by the police.
