Dambai Health Centre appeals for identification of unconscious accident victim

An accident victim who was brought in unconscious has been identified with the help of locals and neighbors, according to representatives of the Dambai Health Centre in the Oti Region.

The victim was brought in with head injuries and has been unresponsive since Sunday, according to Mr. Elijah Amegbe, a physician assistant at the center, who made the appeal through the Ghana News Agency (GNA). Amegbe stated there are no known relatives of the victim.

According to him, the hospital was looking for some kind donors to help with the patient’s transfer to either the Nkwanta Hospital or the Worawora Government Hospital.

According to information obtained by the GNA, the victim, who is thought to be a farmer from Togo, was struck by a motorcycle rider, but no one had come to his aid.

The Krachi East Motor Traffic and Transport Division’s Sergeant Zakaria Asharift told the GNA that an inquiry was being conducted to determine what caused the collision.

In order to help transport the patient to either the Nkwanta Hospital or the Worawora Government Hospital, he said the institution was hoping to have some philanthropists.

According to information obtained by the GNA, the victim—possibly a farmer from Togo—was struck by a motorcycle rider, but no one had stepped forward to offer assistance.

Investigations are being conducted to determine what caused the collision, Sergeant Zakaria Asharift of the Krachi East Motor Traffic and Transport Division (MTTD) told the GNA.
