NDC to officially outdoor running mate April 24 

On Wednesday, April 24, in Accra, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will introduce Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, its running mate for the general elections on December 7, to the public.

At 1600 hours, the event would take place at the University of Professional Studies’ (UPSA) Kofi Ohene Konadu Auditorium.

Former President John Dramani Mahama, the NDC’s flagbearer for the general elections of 2024, was scheduled to grace the event, according to a statement signed by Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the NDC, and copied to Ghana News Agency in Takoradi.

Members of the party’s Council of Elders and National Executive Committee comprise the other group.

Members of Parliament would also be present, along with a host of other notable guests from the diplomatic corps, the religious community, traditional leaders, women’s organizations, academia, labor unions, and the creative arts, among others.

According to the statement, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang would speak to the people about the NDC’s vision for a prosperous, progressive, and inclusive Ghana as well as the life-changing initiatives of its flagbearer for the general elections scheduled for December 7, 2024.

The statement also stated that a number of events would take place between 1600 and 1655 hours prior to her speech, which would officially start at 1700 hours.

The statement requested that all media outlets that plan to send reporters to cover the event get in touch with the NDC’s national communications bureau in order to obtain the required accreditation.
