The Volta Region Representative in the Council of State His Eminence Francis Albert Seth Nyonyo has called on stakeholders in the Keta and Anloga districts to unite and work towards the development and sustainability of the districts respectively.
He made this call when He took strides to laud the efforts of various stakeholders who played essential roles and made Him retain position as the Council of State member after beating off competition from eight other contenders in the election held in Ho, the Volta Regional Capital on Friday, February 12, 2021.
Hon. Nyonyo indicated in an exclusive interview with SandCity Radio’s Kekeli Blamey that He was grateful that the mandate was given to Him again so as to continue working for the region’s development.
“The election was tough, but I thank you all for giving me another chance to continue the good work for the region. I assure you all that development will come and I will ensure that. My arms are always opened for business proposals from you all. Once I receive them, I will make sure I play my part so that the Volta Region can develop.” He explained.
The Council of State Member also appealed to the Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) to enforce peace and unity among the assembly members in their various jurisdictions, adding that without the peace and unity, there will be enmities which will cause the region to back down from developing.
He further said that the District Chief Executive for Anloga, Hon. Seth Yormewu drew His attention to some issues which needed urgent attention, and assured him that work will commence to curb the problems.
Hon. Nyonyo however expressed gratitude to the Volta Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Hon. Makafui Kofi Woanyah for His selfless sacrifices made during and after the Council of State elections.
