Francisca Lamini of Keta SHTS makes history as the first female to make it to NSMQ finals in the last 8 years

Archives’ checks made by Sandcityradioonline.Com goes a long way to confirm that Francisca Lamini of Keta Senior High Technical School (SHTS) becomes the first female student to make it to National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) finals in the last eight (8) years.

Per our checks, no female student has ever appeared at the grand finale after the 2013 contest which featured St. Thomas Aquinas SHS, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School and Mfantsiman Girls’ SHS where the St. Thomas Aquinas emerged the winner.

But the long wait is over as Francisca Lamini, the outstanding young lady, breaks the eight years’ hiatus record as KETASCO made history for the Volta Region in the ongoing 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) contests.

The school made the first appearance at the grand finale of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz contests.

Keta SHTS defeated the Wesley Girls’ Senior High School and the Tamale Senior High School at the Semi-Final to booked a place at the grand finale for the first time in the history of the Volta Region.

Although they failed to win as Prempeh College won the grand finale of 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), however, Keta Senior High Technical School especially Francisca Lamini has really made history.
