Gov’t to construct a 28.3km road in Kpando constituency – Says Dela Sowah

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kpando constituency, Della Adjoa Sowah has revealed that government intends to construct a 28.3-kilometer road in the Kpando Municipality of the Volta region.

The MP said, government made the promise when the Minority in Parliament hauled the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako-Attah to parliament to answer questions on the state of roads in the country.

Communities to benefit from the 28.3km stretch of roads, according to her, includes Aloryi, Tsakpe, Zongo, Torkor Dzigbe, Gbefi , Kudzra and Sovie.

Mrs. Della Sowah made this known on January 1, 2023 while dining with party executives and other members at Kpando Aziavi.

The purpose of the gathering was to resolve internal wranglings that ensued among party members and executives before, during and after the internal party elections at Kpando Aziavi almost a year ago.

The Member of Parliament also stated that two bridges will be constructed, one across the Aflabo river and another across Dayi river at Gbefi and Kudzra respectively.

This according to her, is to enable farmers access their farms with ease and also enhance transportation of farm produce.

Mrs. Della Sowah also mentioned that her engagement with the Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful to tackle poor network issues in the municipality, has led to the erection of six telecommunication masts by some telecommunication networks at Sovie, Gbefi, Torkor, Agbenorxoe, Fesi and Kudzra communities.
