‘Grant me rematch if you’re a true champion’ – Dogboe challenges Ramirez

After losing to Robeisy Ramirez, a boxer from Ghana named Isaac Dogboe issued a challenge for a Rematch

On Saturday, Dogboe had the opportunity to claim the WBO Featherweight world championship, but Ramirez prevailed via majority decision.

The 28-year-old was outclassed by his opponent and was unable to overcome a wobbly beginning. Ramirez won the fight by scores of 117-110, 118-109, and 119-108 according to the judges.

After the battle, Dogboe praised his opponent as a great fighter and expressed respect for him, but he was quick to ignore the outcome.

The Ghanaian challenged Ramirez to prove he is a genuine champion by agreeing to a rematch despite losing the WBO Featherweight world championship.

“All I have to say is, God is still king, praise be to the Lord Almighty. I thank God for this opportunity once again,” the boxer said, as quoted by Ghanaweb.

“But you know what, Robeisy Ramirez is a terrific fighter but the result is bullshit. That knockdown was no knockdown. You talk about dictatorship, that was a dictatorship result right there.”

“Let’s run it back, that’s all I can says, it’s a re-match. If he is a true champion, let’s run it back for Cuba and for the rest of the people he claims to represent.”

After participating in 27 bouts, Dogboe has now suffered three defeats in his professional boxing career.
