Kelvyn Boy granted GHC 200,000 bail for alleged assault

Afrobeat Singer Kevin Brown, also known as Kelvyn Boy has been granted GHC 200,000 bail by the Adentan Circuit Court after he was remanded in police custody for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Kelvyn Boy was accused of stamping Deborah Kponyi’s ribs and hitting her back and right hand with an iron rod several times. The artiste  pleaded not guilty after being remanded on Monday( 21 February).

The court presided over by Sedinam Awo Balokah, granted Kelvyn Boy bail to the tune of GHC 200,000 with two sureties.

Meanwhile the case has been adjourned to Friday, March 18, 2022.

Meeting Stonebwoy was my greatest moment in life

Ghanaian Afrobeat singer Kelvyn Boy has said meeting music star and senior colleague Stonebwoy was the greatest moment of his life.

The two have been label-mates with Burniton Music Group until they broke up in 2019 over some misunderstandings.

Speaking on Asaase Radio’s Between Hours show with host Naa Ashorkor, Kelvyn Brown, as he is known in real life, said: “The first time I performed on stage and meeting Stonebwoy was one of the greatest moments of my life.”

According to him, he was invited to perform on Metro TV and that was when he first met his mentor, Stonebwoy.

After parting ways with Burniton Music Group, the friction between Stonebwoy and Kelvyn Boy sparked conversations among showbiz enthusiasts as the unfortunate incident was never anticipated due to their father-son relationship.

Despite the bad blood, the youngster credited Stonebwoy for his successful music career.
