“Keta to Experience More Development Under my Government Soon” – MCE

Some officials from the Ministry of Transport, Ghana Port and Harbor Authority and China Development Bank stormed Keta, one of the fishing communities along the coastal belt, to inspect progress of work on the Fish Landing site which has been under construction for some months now.


The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. Godwin Edudzi Effah together with Togbui James Ocloo (V) Chief of Keta and the Deputy Director of Communication for the New Patriotic Party in the Volta Region Hon Innocent Papa Gobah who led these officials to the site, expressed gratitude to the government for making strides towards the development of Keta and it’s neighboring communities.

The Fish Landing Site projects is subsidiary to the construction of the intended Keta Fishing Harbor which is underway.


Hon. Godwin Edudzi Effah stated in an exclusive interview with SandCity Radio’s Kekeli Blamey that government is poised to developing Keta. He explained that President Nana Akuffo-Addo has declared Keta as a port zone thus the preliminary projects have been initiated.

The MCE also noted that the construction of the fish landing facility would enable fishmongers, outboard motor repairers and others to carry out their services and operations which would bring massive development as well as create more job avenues to the youth in the community.

He also said that the Keta market structures which poses death threat to most traders in the community would be renovated as soon as possible.
Torgbui James Ocloo  lauded government for its contribution to the development of Keta.

He indicated that the residents, especially traders have been helpless for several years due to the deplorable state of the market structures.
He added that the renovation of the entire market would cause a facelift of the market as well as promote economic activities.


Torgbui James Ocloo however appealed to the residents to support government in whatever way to achieving this purpose.
