Taviefe Aviefe outdoors new Dutorfia

Chiefs and People at Taviefe Aviefe -Avedome in the Taviefe Traditional area of the Volta Region have outdoored Togbe Klimadzafia IV as Amankrado (Dutorfia) of Aviefe in the Ho Municipality.

Completing the rites on Saturday, September 10, 2022, Togbe Akpanya III Dufia of Taviefe Avedome affirmed that, the new chief has been taken through the required traditional process and stages to be installed as chief in accordance with their traditions.

One of the traditions he mention was the need of the Amankrado to come from a royal family and must go through a nomination process by the council of kingmakers before his selection to occupy the throne.

“Many may be nominated but one will be selected and this selection is the sole reserve of the Kingmakers not the family.” Togbe noted.

In his first address, the newly installed Amankrado, Togbe Klimadzafia IV wholeheartedly pledged his readiness to take over the mantle.

He urged the youth to be circumspect in their utterances and choices of words to promote peace, unity and development.

“It’s an indisputable facts that Taviefe is in fragments as a result of chieftaincy disputes so, the falling and broken walls ought to be mended.” He stresed.

He charged residents of Taviefe to come together and fight a goal of better future to enable them regain their former famous accolade.

Togbe Klimadzafia IV however asked for support to promote economic stability of the citizens especially women and youth of Taviefe Aviefe -Avedome.

As part of his short term intervention plans, he revealed that, his outfit will engage experts to enable them transform the natural resources of Aviefe -Avedome into economically viable venture.

He said, beekeeping, mushroom and snail farming are some lucrative ventures that he belived, can boost their economic fortunes considering the vegetation and the terrain of the community.

Togbe further called on well meaning persons, both indigenes and non-indigenes to embark on tree planting activities to enable total restoration of the vegetation to attain the “Greening Aviawo Agenda”

BACKGROUND

Togbe Aklimadza IV known in his private life as Edmund Edem Tsogbey was born on January 31, 1979 in Taviefe Aviefe Dedo Tsinu clan.

He had his basic Education at the Taviefe Aviefe Roman Catholic school and completed with distinction in the year 1993 and further to Mawuli Senior Secondary School where he studied Business Secretariat from 1994 to 1996.

Togbe currently holds Higher National Diploma (HND) in secretaryship and management studies from Ho Polytechnic now Ho Technical University in 2001 and second class upper degree in management studies from the University of Cape Coast.

He also holds Master of Science degree in Human Resource Planing and Development at Institute of Applied Manpower Research, Guru Gobind Singh Indrapratha University at New Delhi, India in 2014.

Togbe Klimadzafia IV is now on the seat of Togbe Klimadzafia III who died in 1992 as the Amankrado of Aviawo.
