UPDATE: Driver involved in crashing 6 including 2 police officers remanded

The Magistrate Court in Peki has remanded into Police custody Kwame Nkorouma, driver in charge Ford Transit mini bus that crashed two Police officers; Corporal Evans Quansah and Constable Richard Dadzie killing them instantly alongside four other passengers on the Asikuma-Peki highway.

On Wednesday February 16, 2022, Kwame Nkorouma was provisionally charged with the offenses of careless and inconsiderate driving and negligently causing harm and arraigned at the Magistrate Court in Peki.

His plea was not taken.

The case has been adjourned to Wednesday March 2, 2022.

2 out of 11 injured passengers who were on the bus are currently on admission at Peki Government Hospital receiving treatment whilst one other has been referred to the Ho Teaching Hospital for further attention.

8 others have been treated and discharged.
