Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, has offered to help veteran actor Psalm Adjeteyfio.
Despite mourning his late mother, reports say the Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has offered to pay the rent of the actor for 5 years and also give him some allowance.
This was made known in a post by Lawyer Krobea Kwabena Asante on his Facebook page.
The post revealed that the vice president reached out to TT to offer assistance by paying five years rent at a sum of Ghc30,000.
He also gave the veteran actor an allowance of Ghc20,000 for his upkeep summing up his contribution to a total of 50k.
“Despite mourning his mum who died in the early hours of today. Dr Bawumia this morning fulfilled a promise he made yesterday to TT of Taxi Driver fame that he will foot TT’s rent bills.
“Dr Bawumia has paid 6 months renewable for the next 5 years (30k) for TT and has also given TT 20k for upkeep. In all, he gave TT 50k this morning,” Krobea Kwabena Asante wrote.
Many sympathisers have pledged to support Psalm Adjetefio after he made his plight public.
Ayisha Modi even promised to pay for the rent of the veteran actor so he does not worry about such issues the rest of his life but it looks like the Vice President had taken the lead.
