VR: Ola-Alele Bridge-Market road divert to one way effective today

As part of efforts to complete the stalled Alele Bridge (Amegashie Bridge) project in the Volta regional capital, Ho, the Ho Municipal Assembly has issued a notice of diverting the said road to a one-way status effective Monday, August 29 2022.

This was contained in a statement released from the assembly dated August 19 2022 and signed by Public Relations Officer Emmanuel Alorse on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive Hon Divine Bosson and copied Regional Police Commander and the Motor Traffic and Transport Division (MTTD) officer,

“The Ho Municipal Assembly wishes to inform all motorist especially those plying the road from Batanis Junction through the Alele Bridge (Amegashie Bridge) to the Market that effective Monday 29th August 2022 the road become One -Way” the statement said.

The statement further stopped all motorist from the market and station from driving through the Alele also known as the Amegashie bridge to Batanis Junction and Ola Traffic light until further notice

This, according to the statement, is to to pave way for the contractor to resume work at the site immediately.

The statement further directed all motorist to use the alternative routes available as they called for public adherence “at this crucial time”.

Earlier on Friday, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) has again directed all taxis parking and loading closed to the construction site to, as matter of urgency, evacuate or faces the wrath of the assembly by finds not less than Ghc 500.00 when the Assembly taskforce tow any car into the assembly.
