Photos Of Police Officer Shot Dead In Daylight Bullion Van Robbery In Ghana Surfaces

A daylight bullion van robbery happened at Adedenko near James Town in Accra-Ghana where a police officer and an eyewitness was shot dead with the driver sustaining injuries.

Reports from eyewitnesses say the police officer was the security for the bullion van while the woman, Afua Badu, who was shot dead saw the incident and allegedly raised an alarm at Adedenpo near James Town.

The robbers on the okada attacked by opening fire randomly at the bullion van, killing the police officer on board instantly with a bullet in the head and injuring the driver.

The armed robbers took the gun of the police officer and destroyed the locks of the vehicle before carrying away an unspecified amount of money from the van.

We have identified the police officer who was killed at the scene as General Constable Emmanuel Osei of the national SWAT unit with service number 58449.

Videos from the crime scene has also surfaced online. The disturbing video captured the lifeless body of General Constable Emmanuel Osei lying dead with bullet wounds in his head while the driver sit in the van also with wounds.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the Police Hospital for preservation and autopsy while the driver of the bullion van is said to be receiving treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
