I am ever ready to join Hearts of Oak – Gladson Awako

Captain of Accra Great Olympics Gladson Awako has expressed his willingness to switch to their regional rivals Hearts of Oak ahead of the upcoming season.

The U-20 World Cup winner enjoyed a fantastic season with the wonder club in the just ended campaign and has been linked with a strong move to join the ‘Phobians’ in the coming weeks.

 Speculations in the local media few days ago, even indicated that, the experience playmaker has already agreed personal terms with the champions with the deal set to be finalised very soon. 

Speaking with Atinka FM in Accra, the 30 year old exhibited his readiness to wear the Rainbow jersey next season if only the move will be helpful to his career.

He said;  “I am ever ready to join Hearts of Oak. I am a footballer and that is my work,” he told Accra based Atinka FM.

 “If I feel moving to Hearts of Oak will help my career why not.” “Even Harry Kane is moving from Tottenham Hotspurs just to get the chance to play in the Champions League.” He concluded.

Gladson Awako was outstanding in the 2020/21 season despite facing lots of doubts prior to the start and went on to contribute 13 goals for his club in the league, scoring 6 and providing 7 assists.
