Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart and political strategist has advised the newly selected running mate of the governing New Patriotic Party, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh to stay focused and supportive to the flagbearer to ensure the party wins the upcoming December election.
The National Executive Council (NEC) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has unanimously approved Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as “Napo”, as the running mate for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the 2024 general elections.
Reacting to the development on Facebook on Saturday ( 6 July), Otchere-Darko commended Opoku Prempeh adding that he must bring his expertise to bear to help Bawumia deliver his promises to Ghanaians if elected.
“Congratulations, Napo! The Presidential Candidate settled on you for very obvious reasons. He believes you to be the best partner to help him as his number two to win the 2024 presidential election and to help him deliver on his promises to Ghanaians if elected.
“I have known you for years (even before our days at Danquah Institute) and aware of your strengths. Your intellectual capacity, your strong attitude to work, your generosity, your ability to deliver, your commitment to the values of Danquah and your sheer verve to fight to succeed are the tools required for the task ahead.”
“Stay focused; stay supportive, follow the leader, show empathy, defend the record, project the vision, sell the Candidate and help him energise the base, help them to believe that it is not only possible but it can be done and with them, by them and for them, it can and shall be done! Congrats!,” he said.
