Ketu North MCE, MP inspect progress on Big Push road project 

 The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ketu North, Reverend Martin Amenaki, has joined the Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Eric Edem Agbana, to inspect ongoing works on the Big Push Road Project in the Volta Region, covering the Asikuma Junction–Aflao (Tokor) corridor. 

The inspection focused particularly on the Penyi–Tokor stretch, where the team assessed the pace and quality of work being executed by the contractor.

Rev. Amenaki expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far, noting that the project was advancing steadily towards completion. 

He said the quality of work reflected the contractor’s professionalism and the government’s renewed commitment to improving road infrastructure across the region. 

The Big Push initiative, he explained, was a major national drive aimed at enhancing road networks, opening up communities, and stimulating economic growth across the country.

The Penyi–Tokor section serves as a vital link within the Ketu North Municipality, facilitating trade, transportation, and access to essential services. 

During the visit, the MCE and MP engaged engineers and site supervisors on progress, challenges, and project timelines.  

Rev. Amenaki stressed the need to maintain engineering standards, ensure public safety, and complete the work within schedule to maximize its development impact.

He commended Mr. Agbana for his collaboration and commitment to the transformation of Ketu North and also praised the contractors and field workers for their dedication. 

Rev. Amenaki further expressed appreciation to the chiefs and residents of Penyi and surrounding communities for their patience and cooperation during the construction period, assuring them of the Assembly’s continued support to ensure the project’s successful completion.
