V/R:Unavailability of potable Water affects livelihood of Residents – Wusuta Kpebe, North Dayi District

Assemblymember for Wusuta Kpebe Electoral Area in the North Dayi District of the Volta Region,Hon. Derick Delali Adjei,has lamented that the unaccessibility of potable water affect livelihood of residents in his area.

Mr.Adjei in an interaction with Avenor TV Reporter Anthony Egbeako ,said his electoral area is challenged with water crisis as they find it difficult to ascertain the use of the volta river as they share the water body with animals making it unsafe for human consumption.

He further stated that due to unavailability of the amenity,the only health facility in the area has also been affected forcing health workers to walk several miles to nearby communities in search of water on a daily routine,thus making life unbearable.

He added that road network from Vakpo to his area is in its terrible state serving as a death trap to commuters who ply the road.

Hon.Derick Delali Adjei therefore petitioned government and other agencies to come to their aid to provide them with mechanized boreholes and rehabilitate the poor nature of the road to alleviate their predicament.
