Aspiring Akatsi South Constituency NPP Chairman supports Alma-Mater

Mr. Patrick Escu Xormenyo Agboyibor, the aspiring Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Akatsi South Constituency, in the Volta Region, has demonstrated his commitment to education by making a generous donation to the Alma-Mater, Akatsico Practice Cluster of Schools.

The donation includes plastic chairs and an undisclosed amount of money to support teaching and learning.

“These donations were borne out of a request made by the school authorities for an assistance with seating materials for the school lab to help speed teaching and learning,” he said.

Mr. Agboyibor explained that he had previously donated a projector and an undisclosed amount of money to the school which demonstrated the long-standing commitment to improving and uplifting the standard of teaching and learning in the school.

He said that the gesture was a testament to his desire to effect progress in the lives of not only NPP members but the entire communities in Akatsi South Constituency and the support was a timely to improve teaching and learning for the school.

“I’m looking forward to see these donations and contributions to have a positive impact on the communities, particularly in the area of education to improve the school’s output results.”

Mr. Agboyibor said the appeal by the school for further support had highlighted the need for stakeholder involvement in addressing the school’s remaining facility needs and challenges, and charged other old students and philanthropists to help solve other pressing challenges.

Mr. Michael Afawubo, the Headteacher of the school, who received the donations on behalf of the staff and students, expressed gratitude for Mr. Agboyibor’s kind gesture and generosity and appealed to stakeholders and community members to provide further support to address the school’s remaining facility needs.

He said the move by Mr. Agboyibor demonstrated leadership by example and his commitment to supporting education and the community set a positive tone for others to follow for the betterment of the society.

Mr. Afawubo pledged that the donated items would be use for the rightful purposes and appealed to government, old students, philanthropists, corporate organisations and others to solve other challenges such as inadequate toilet facilities, sports equipments among others.

He said the donation was expected to have a positive impact on the school and the community.
