‘Don’t sit on your boyfriend’s bed when there is no chair in his room’ – Akumaa Mama Zimbi

Ghanaian media personality and counselor Akumaa Mama Zimbi has shared valuable guidance for young women when it comes to their romantic relationships. She emphasizes the importance of being cautious when visiting their partners in private spaces like their rooms.

During an appearance on the Day show with Berla Mundi, she urged young females to avoid sitting on their boyfriend’s bed when visiting them, emphasizing the importance of maintaining boundaries.

The renowned host of the famous relationship talk show which mostly airs at night dubbed Odo Ahomaso on Adom TV shared extended guidance on intimacy, where she advised the youth to refrain from engaging in such relationships until they were married.

She also advised the youth to be careful with their spending while emphasising the need to avoid spending on partners who are more yet to marry with gifts being the only exception. She however cited the essence of gifting without focus on exchange for intimacy.

In the context of relationships, Mama Zimbi cautioned against taking on roles that mimic those of a mother, father, or wife.

She also expressed her belief that individuals who publicise their relationships may lack confidence. She argued that there is no need to flaunt one’s partner in public when in a committed relationship or marriage.
