Government Set to Reconstruct Ho-Aflao and Weta-Afiadenyigba-Havedzi Roads – Roads Minister

The government has announced plans to reconstruct the Ho-Aflao and Weta-Afiadenyigba-Havedzi roads as part of efforts to improve road infrastructure in the Volta Region.

Mr. Kwame Agbodza assured residents that these critical road networks would receive urgent attention to enhance transportation and economic activities in the area.

Speaking during a site visit, the Roads Minister acknowledged the poor state of the roads and the challenges they pose to commuters.

“The Ho-Aflao and Weta-Afiadenyigba-Havedzi roads are vital to the region’s development, and we are committed to their reconstruction to ensure smoother travel and boost local businesses,” he stated.

Residents and motorists have long complained about the deteriorating conditions of these roads, which have led to frequent accidents, transportation delays, and increased vehicle maintenance costs. The poor road network has also affected trade and access to essential services such as healthcare and education.

The government’s commitment to this reconstruction project has been welcomed by residents, who hope work will begin soon. The Roads Minister assured that contractors would be deployed promptly to ensure timely completion, bringing much-needed relief to road users in the region.
