According to her, the Ghana Police Service did well by arresting these protesters who promised to be law-abiding but resorted to breaking the law with impunity.

“The NPP will not release any statement about this issue because we don’t know about them. We’ve left it to the police to deal with it. In this particular protest, the Ghana police did very well and arrested several protesters who broke the law.”

“I remember the ‘Let My Vote Count’ protest, we saw people being beaten and injured and it was under the administration of John Mahama. So if you want to blame Presidents and political parties, let’s start with John Mahama”. She argued

According to her, there is no evidence that the police have infringed on the rights of these protesters.

“We are just trying to escalate this issue when there’s no issue. The protesters are the ones claiming they have not been given food and water and also refused legal counsel where is the evidence that what they are saying is true? These protesters are a group of hooligans who decided to go on a protest and misbehave.” She insisted.
