Asante Kotoko lost their opening preseason friendly in Dubai against Al Hilal United on Thursday morning.
Defender, Christopher Nettey’s, second half own goal, condemned the Porcupine Warriors to a disappointing 1-0 defeat against the third tier UAE side.
Head Coach, Prosper Nartey Ogum gave outings to a number of new boys including Richard Boadu, Clinton Opoku and Dickson Afoakwa.
The game also featured regulars, Fabio Gama, Razak Abalora, Christopher Nettey and captain Ismail Ganiyu.
Kotoko are a week into their two week preseason tour of Dubai, geared towards preparing the team ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League on October 29.
