Bawumia promises jobs for dismissed workers in next NPP government

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2024 elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised that individuals who have recently lost their jobs will be given first priority for employment under the next NPP government.

Speaking during the NPP’s “Thank You Tour” in Takoradi on Saturday, April 26, 2025, Dr. Bawumia expressed sympathy for those struggling after losing their jobs.

“I know how painful it is to lose your daily source of income,” he said, adding that the NPP is aware of the sacrifices many people have made.

Dr. Bawumia stated that a future NPP government would introduce strong plans to create jobs, especially for those most affected by the current tough economy. “I assure you that under the next NPP government, you will be prioritized for jobs,” he said, receiving loud cheers from the crowd.

The “Thank You Tour” is part of the NPP’s efforts to reconnect with its supporters and renew its promises to the people ahead of the December 2025 elections.

Dr. Bawumia also reiterated the NPP’s commitment to fixing the economy, helping businesses grow, and creating sustainable jobs for the youth and unemployed citizens.
