Wisdom Seade Urges Churches to Support Government in Promoting Moral Values and Growth
Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Keta, Wisdom Seade, has called for deeper collaboration between the church and the state to advance national development, promote social cohesion, and instill moral values in Ghanaian society.
Speaking during a special church service in the Volta Region, Seade emphasized the critical role religious institutions play in complementing government efforts in areas such as education, health, community development, and youth empowerment.
“The church is not just a place of worship—it is a partner in development. We need church-state partnership to tackle issues like corruption, unemployment, moral decay, and poverty,” he stated.
Seade highlighted that the moral teachings of the church can help shape responsible citizens and reduce social vices, especially among the youth.
He urged churches to work closely with local authorities to implement sustainable development projects, calling for a united front in driving the government’s development agenda.
His remarks come at a time when faith-based organizations in Ghana are increasingly recognized as strategic allies in achieving socioeconomic goals.
The Keta MCE also assured religious leaders of government support and encouraged continued dialogue and cooperation for the collective good of communities across the country.
