Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe Confirmed as DCE for North Tongu

The North Tongu District Assembly has confirmed Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe as its new District Chief Executive (DCE) with an overwhelming majority vote.

Out of 42 Assembly members, 41 voted in favour of her nomination, while only 1 member dissented.

The confirmation exercise, which was attended by the Volta Regional Minister, Mr. James Gunu, saw Madam Doe secure the required two-thirds majority, demonstrating the confidence of the Assembly in her leadership abilities.

In her acceptance speech, Madam Doe pledged to work towards the promotion of developmental initiatives and represent the interests of the people of North Tongu.

She expressed gratitude to the President for the honor of being nominated and to the Assembly members for their overwhelming support.

Mr. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, congratulated Madam Doe on her confirmation and urged her to work hard to promote the development of the district and emphasized the importance of collaboration and support from all stakeholders in ensuring the success of the Assembly.

With her confirmation, Madam Doe becomes the new DCE for North Tongu, tasked with the responsibility of driving progress and development in the district.

Some residents told the Ghana News Agency that her endorsement is expected to bring renewed energy and optimism to the Assembly, as she embarks on works to improve the lives of the people of North Tongu.
