The GES says the move is to allow students who still have issues with the self-placement system time to complete the process
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has postponed the reopening date for first year senior high school students to Thursday 18 March 2021 through to Sunday 21 March 2021.
The first year senior high school students were to start the new academic year on 10 March 2021.
The GES said the action is to give students who have had issues with self-placement time to complete the process and also allow others who have not been able to complete the admission process to do so.
“Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform staff, parents, students and the general public that SHS 1 students re-opening of school has been rescheduled from 10 March to Thursday 18 March through to Sunday 21 March 2021,” a statement from the GES has said.
The statement added that the rescheduling will also help parents have adequate time to prepare their kids for school as well as give schools additional time needed to prepare to welcome them.
