The former Assembly member for Wute Electoral Area, Hon. Suleyman Seidu who is also the current constituency organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Akatsi South Constituency was involved in a life-threatening motor accident.
According to reports, the mishap happened near the Shell filling station in the Akatsi township on Friday, 15th April 2022.
According to reports gathered, Hon. Suleyman Seidu, a staunch NDC member and the constituency Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Akatsi South Constituency, nearly died in the Friday, April 15 accident that occurred between soccer bet and the Jimmy lotto hall kiosk in the Akatsi South Municipality, along the Akatsi-Accra Road.
According to eyewitnesses, the tragic incident occurred following an over speeding motorbike that cleared the victim on his bike.
On advice, he was rushed to Hoggar Clinic and afterward transferred to Abor Sacred Heart Hospital for intensive treatment.
The accident severely damaged his head.
Efo, as he is affectionately known, is a cheerful character. He seemed to get along well with children, youths, and the elderly.
Meanwhile, Japhet Festus Gbede said he will petition the Municipal Police Commander to take steps to decrease road accidents in the constituency by ensuring that the MTTD conducts regular operations to crack down on reckless drivers and riders.
