V/R: National Readers’ Association Supports Anloga Library With Books.

The staff of Anloga Library, has held a ceremony to outdoor some new books they received from the National Readers’ Association.

This comes as a support from the association to boost the urge in students to read books and also equip them with an academic muscle to promote their performance in school.

The Library Director, Mr. Francis Tordzro in his address to the students, gave a brief history of the library stating that it was established by Act 327 in 1970 and also operates under the Ministry of Education.
Mr. Tordzro further admonished the students to patronize the facility as it serves as one of the best means to attain success in education.

“The library is a place where knowledge is stored and also helps to promote reading habits among students as well as adults. It is a facility that provides information about the world and thus we must all come and use this facility to our own benefit.” He added.

Mr. Tordzro lauded the Dr. Dinam Zoiku and the Anlo Youth Council for their massive contributions to conveying these assorted Books to the district.

He also acknowledged contributions made by some earlier donors such as Dr. Debora Tamakloe, Mr Daniel Seglah, and Rev. Seshie, as well as Togbi Tudoabor III.

The District Director of Education Mrs. Yvonne Akpene Ame Bruce stressed on the need to use the library purposefully.

“It will be better for students who don’t read not to be in school. Since you are in school, you should cultivate the habit of reading books because your future is dependent on the books you read.” She added.

Pupils from Dedzidi community School, The Lords Academy and E. P. Basic School were also in attendance with their teachers.
