Ghana Water Limited resolves water supply at Kpeve Headworks

The Ghana Water Limited (GWL) says it has resolved electricity power supply issues at the Kpeve Water Treatment Plant (WTP), which has affected water supply from the Plant.

The Kpeve Plant alongside two others; Agordome and Kpando Water Treatment Plants were affected with power supply between May 2 and May 3, 2025.

Mr Ransford Nii Djan Amoo, Volta Regional Production Manager, Ghana Water Limited in a press release said, “the power supply issues previously affecting water production at the Kpeve Water Treatment has been fully resolved”.

He said the Kpeve WTP experienced unbalanced phase voltages at its system termination from 1600 hours on May 2, 2025, which temporarily halted water production.

“Following diligent efforts from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) personnel, this issue has been successfully resolved, and full water production operations resumed May 4 ,2025 at 19:45 hours”.

Mr Amoo said the GWL appreciated the public’s patience and cooperation during the period, adding that the GWL remained committed to providing continuous and reliable water supply services.
