Hard work pays – Oppong Nkrumah congratulates Bawumia

Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has congratulated Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for winning the super delegates conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) held last Saturday, August 26.

The super delegates conference was to reduce the number of flagbearer aspirants from ten to five.

After the polls, Dr Bawumia swept 629 of the votes (68.15%) followed by Kennedy Agyapong and Alan Kyerematen with 132 votes (14.3%) and 95 votes (10.29%) respectively.

Francis Addai-Nimoh and Mr Boakye Agyarko polled 9 votes each, resulting in a run-off between the two of them to determine who places 5th.

In a tweet, Mr Oppong Nkrumah who is also Ofoase Ayirebi lawmaker said “Hard work pays….congratulations sir.”.
