NDC suspends Kpeli Worlase
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended Kpeli Worlase for misconduct.
According to a letter signed by the party’s general secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party suspended Worlase in accordance with Article 48 of the party’s constitution.
His charges include allegations of campaigning against the party’s parliamentary candidate and other forms of anti-party conduct in Afram Plains North.
The functional executive committee has since referred Kpeli Worlase to the national disciplinary committee for adjudication.
Kpeli Worlase contested the primaries and lost to Betty Krosbi Mensah, the incumbent MP and the parliamentary candidate of the NDC in Afram Plains North.
After losing the primaries, he decided to contest for the position of Member of Parliament in the Afram Plains North as an independent candidate.
