Government deepens accountability with roll out of performance tracker

The Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has officially outdoored the government’s performance tracker, aimed at checking transparency and accountability of implementation infrastructure projects.

The platform will help address long-standing concerns about the accuracy and reliability of project presentations, particularly the use of artist’s impressions to depict the outcomes.

It will also serve as a reliable mechanism for showcasing the progress and impact of infrastructure projects, thereby instilling trust and confidence among citizens.

Speaking at the launch on Wednesday (10 April), Oppong Nkrumah said the performance tracker will be updated daily.

“We want to encourage you to visit the website and download the app. We want to encourage you to take time and navigate and be informed. We are responsible for the information we consume . . . don’t consume half-truths on other platforms,” he said.
