Ho central MP to bow out from parliament

The Member of Parliament for Ho central in the Volta region is bowing out of parliament after serving his constituents for a period of twelve years.

Mr. Benjamin Komla Kpodo who entered Parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress in 2013 served the constituents for three terms with significant contribution to development both in the constituency and the national level.

The constituents who were vigorously in anticipation for him to contest the party’s parliamentary primaries when the party officially opens nominations were dismayed after days of closing nomination only to note that, the MP will step down as a member of parliament for Ho central constituency.

Mr. Kpodo disclosed this during a live radio briefing on Tuesday February 28, 2023 on Ho nased radio stations and a Television where he touted his achievements and impacts in the constituency.

However, Hon. Kpodo said “I will not contest the party’s upcoming primaries but i will support whoever wins, that doesn’t mean I have endorsed anyone. “About six out of the nine candidates came to me to declare their intentions but I have no favourite among them!”

Information gathered so far after the official closing of nomination by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ho central constituency indicated that about nine (9) aspirants have picked forms to contest the parliamentary primaries.
