HON WISDOM SEADE LEADS DELEGATION TO SUPPORT FAMILY OF MISSING BOY.

The Keta Minucipal Chief executive, Mr. Wisdom Seade, has led a delegation to show solidarity with the family of 13-year-old Eric Korshie Adziakpor, who has been missing since Sunday, April 27, 2025.

He was accompanied by the Municipal Coordinating Director, the Keta Divisional Police Commander, officers from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), the Keta Fire Service Commander, and the Assembly Member for Dzelukope-Afugo.

Speaking to the family, Hon. Seade expressed deep concern over the boy’s disappearance and reassured them of the Assembly and security agencies’ commitment to uncovering the truth. “It is very unfortunate for a child to be missing for this long, but I am hopeful that Eric will return home safely,” he stated.

He urged the family to cooperate fully with the police and provide any relevant information that may assist the investigation. Hon. Seade also clarified that suspects who were taken to court and later returned to police custody were held in accordance with legal procedures, as the law prohibits detaining suspects beyond 48 hours without charge. He stressed that the police are working diligently to ensure a thorough investigation.

The MCE further assured the family that no such incident would be tolerated in the Municipality and that anyone found guilty would be dealt with severely to serve as a deterrent.

On behalf of the family, Mr. Julius Atitsogbui expressed gratitude to the MCE and his team for the visit and their show of support. He pledged the family’s full cooperation and urged the police to maintain professionalism throughout the investigation. Eric’s mother, Madam Fafali Adabla, also expressed her appreciation for the authorities’ concern.

Eric Korshie Adziakpor, a 13-year-old boy from Dzelukope Afugo, was last seen on Sunday, April 27, 2025, playing with friends when he was allegedly called by a man (name withheld) to run an errand. He has not returned since.

Following a report by the family and Assembly Members from Dzelukope Afugo and Vui, the said young man was arrested. During police interrogation, he allegedly named a local fetish priest (name also withheld) as an accomplice, leading to the priest’s arrest.

Both suspects have been arraigned in court and remain in custody as investigations continue.

Police are yet to confirm any details, and the case remains under active investigation.
