Evans Dapaah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regional chairman for Oti Region, has given assurance to Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia that he will receive 100% of the votes cast from the region on 4 November.
Bawumia is vying for the position of the party’s flagbearer with three others – maverick lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong, former MP Francis Addai-Nimoh and the former minister of agriculture Owusu Afriyie Akoto.
Speaking during a campaign tour of the region by Bawumia, Dapaah said the vice president is the only candidate who can defeat the opposition National Democratic Congress.
He therefore called on the rank and file of the party to rally behind Bawumia to win the November primaries and lead the party into the 2024 elections.
Dapaah said Bawumia has been there for the party in tough and good times.
