Unknown Person destroys Keta MCE’s house over land grabbing issues

Tension has risen in the Keta Municipality following the partial demolition of an uncompleted-storey building belonging to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Emmanuel Gemegah.

Reports indicate that the structure, located in the municipality was vandalised by some unidentified persons believed to be protesting against alleged land grabbing by the MCE.

The unidentified person stormed the site to destroy portions of the building before fleeing the scene.

Meanwhile one Togbui Ackua III of Alakple in the Anloga Municipal has been identified and arrested by the Keta police for leading the two pile loaders to partially demolish the Keta MCE’s building and other twenty uncompleted structures on the reclaimed land

The alleged land dispute has been a source of growing frustration among certain youth who have accused Hon. Gemegah of exploiting his position to amass land.
