Afadzato South DCE cuts sod for construction of the Kpeve-Gborxome classroom block

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Afadzato South District of the Volta Region, Hon. Etornam James Flolu, has cut sod for the construction of a new 3-unit classroom block complex at Kpeve-Gborxome.

The new project will replace the dilapidated building which was constructed about 20 years ago.

At a brief ceremony held for the sod cutting on October 6, 2022, the DCE assured that the project will be completed in six months.

Mr Flolu reiterated government’s commitment to ensure school children in Ghana have access to modern befitting classrooms in spite of current global economic challenges.

Earlier, the DCE handed over some two thousand five hundred (2,500) dual desks to the Afadzato South Education Directorate for onward distribution to various public schools within the district.

The desks which were handed over in two folds had the first one thousand (1000) distributed in August 2022 and the second set of one thousand five hundred (1500) distributed in September same year.

Mr Flolu charged School authorities in the district to take good care of the desks donated to them and urged the beneficiaries to apply strict maintenance culture which, in the long run, will improve academic lives of school children.
